After passing the Senate unanimously last May, my bill, Senate Bill 93 passed the House 39-1 on Friday! This bill will increase the limits on payouts for commercial fishing injuries, better ensuring fishing crew members’ medical costs are covered. SB 93 is zero cost to the State, because the fisherman’s fund dollars come from fees received from commercial fishing license sales. The bill now goes to the Governor for signature.

This week my bill, SB 161, to reduce taxes on farmers and SB 181, enabling better outcomes for kids in foster care, both have hearings. I am hopeful to have them move forward toward final passage.
