Hello!
The
AKLNG bill, HB 381, will be up for a vote on the Senate floor
tomorrow!!
Despite rumors to the contrary, your emails, phone
calls, and public support have made a difference. While some were
focused on assigning blame, we put the process to work and you helped
build the momentum needed to bring the gas line bill to the Senate floor
for a full debate and vote. Thank you.
I have been working diligently with my colleagues to
move this legislation forward and see it through to the finish line.
We're close, but we're not there yet.
Tomorrow at 9:00 AM, the Senate Finance Committee will
meet to consider the changes made by Senators Hoffman and Stedman
before advancing the bill to the full Senate.
Later in the day, the Senate will debate amendments
and vote on final passage. I will continue fighting to keep this bill
clean and oppose changes that could jeopardize the AKLNG project,
increase costs, impose additional taxes, or divert Kenai Peninsula
Borough revenues away from our communities.
If you support Alaska LNG, it is time again to make
your voice heard. Please continue contacting Senate members and urge
them to pass a clean HB 381 without new taxes, unnecessary burdens,
or revenue diversions.
