This website provides real-time updates on road conditions, plowing progress, and any potential closures.

Dear Friends, I hope you are doing well and enjoying the last warm days before the cold settles in. That means our roadways are adorned with many campaign signs as we prepare for the upcoming election. With just 34 days remaining the end is in sight!

Dear Friends, I hope you’ve been soaking up the last rays of summer sunshine! It’s hard to believe that the lazy days of summer are winding down. As the leaves begin to hint at their autumnal transformation, we’re reminded that the new school year is quickly approaching.

The summer solstice was just under two weeks ago now, on June 21st, marking the longest day of the year across much of the Northern Hemisphere. Here in Alaska, the summer solstice takes on even more significance as it means the sun now sets

I hope this letter finds you well and enjoying summer. It’s hard to believe another legislative session has come to a close. I want to take a moment to reflect on the past few months in session with a focus on the interim.

The 33rd Alaska State Legislature will soon be coming to an end, marking the close of this year’s 121-day legislative session. Over the past several months, legislators worked diligently to pass legislation on a variety of important issues affecting Alaskans such as the Permanent Fund, the State budget, and infrastructure funding. 

I will host a virtual constituent meeting this Thursday, April 18th at 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

We are now over halfway through the Legislative Session. Lawmakers have been busy considering numerous bills on issues to include the budget, education, and infrastructure. There is still much work to be done in the remaining weeks!
