The deadline to register to vote in Alaska is October 6 and a project is underway to improve student proficiency in Alaska native languages. Plus, UA students can apply to be a legislative intern.

The Governor vetoed House Bill 17 to allow health insurance coverage for up to 12 months of birth control. I will continue working to get this legislation passed and enacted into law.

House Bill 344 also allows schools to provide healthcare services to more students.

Sen. Tobin successfully lobbies the National Conference of State Legislatures to support more federal resources for homeless children and youth.

School supplies will be distributed at the HUGSS Back to School Supply Event on August 2.

Alaska will be in line to host the organizations 2027 annual meeting.
