I’m pleased to report that the Legislature was able to pass a a balanced budget that funds essential services, like public safety and education; pays a reasonable dividend; and does not draw from savings or require new taxes. While it did take a one-day special session to complete, the result was a fiscally responsible budget,
It’s Day 60 here in the capitol, and we’re halfway through the Constitutional 120-day session. By most accounts, we’ll be done before then.
