Anchorage, AK – Governor Mike Dunleavy today released his proposed Fiscal Year 2027 budget. As required by Alaska’s constitution, the budget is submitted by December 15, ahead of the legislative session, which convenes on January 20, 2026. Senate President Gary Stevens, R-Kodiak, issued the following statement:
Overriding Governor Dunleavy’s veto of Senate Bill 113 will unlock millions of additional dollars to help teach young students to read and expand vocational and technical opportunities across Alaska.
