The Anchorage Municipal Election has started and ballots are arriving in mailboxes this week. Information about this year’s ballot and helpful tools from the Anchorage Municipal Clerk’s office are below.

Our office continues to work on our sponsored legislation and doing the important work of reviewing bills in the committee process. In this week’s newsletter, we discuss recent happenings at the Capitol, ongoing challenges faced by the Department of Public Safety, and our upcoming constituent meeting.

We’re starting to collect responses for our annual constituent survey this week, and we encourage everyone to participate. As always, reach out to our office with any questions or concerns you may have. We love to hear from you.

In this week’s newsletter, we discuss legislation our office introduced, a Department of Justice investigation, and recent meetings with Alaskans. Moving forward, our office will be introducing additional bills, reviewing legislation before the Senate, and working on a balanced budget.

On Wednesday, February 1, Alaska Supreme Court Chief Justice Daniel Winfree delivered the annual State of the Judiciary address to the legislature. The first Alaska-born Chief Justice, it was his last address as he retires this month.
