We’ve had a lot of visitors coming to the Capitol these past few weeks. A lot of our visitors were from Fairbanks, including members of the FNSB school board, members of UAF’s faculty union and members from the Fairbanks Borough Assembly. Even Fairbanks Mayor David Pruhs stopped by the office to talk to me yesterday! I also really enjoyed my visit with the Asian American Pacific Islanders Coalition of Alaska. It has been fun seeing so many familiar faces!

There have big developments over the last week with road and energy projects. The delayed phase 1b of the Cooper Landing Bypass is back in the STIP. Dear friends and neighbors, My staff and I are all Alaskans who graduated from public school. Four of us graduated from Alaska public schools. Education funding is still front and center. The House and Senate majorities agree on almost all points but are still working to find alignment with the Governor’s office.
